yet another breakthrough, finally its not heaps but, i feed mango his favourite this morn a piece of apple mmmmm. anyway i did it from the outside of the cage but left 1 tiny finger on it it took ageeesss but finally he couldnt resist and came for a bite, he took i then spastically took off flapping around the cage, i just sat there calmly talking to him and he slowly came back for another bite, this time flapping a little less. by the end of the training he was standing eating the apple, and not taking off yayyyy, will do this every morning now untill he gets more and more used to my hand.

does he like to bathe ? they seem a lot calmer when they have had a bath, try doing stuff with him then. another idea is to sit with the treats beside you or in your hand and pretend that you don't really want to pay attention to him, see if you can get him to come to you to steal your food. It may take a little while but eventually they work out that you are ok to go near.

They are so food driven its not funny. That means he isn't too scared of you, keep going with it and eventually he will be used to your movements.

but hes so lovely.he comes out of his cage all the time now but doesnt venture off it. sits up there and chatters away to everyone, very people shy tho but thats ok we just give him his space. I got bitten a real nast one the other day, i thought bugger it im going to give him a shower so i caught him with a towel took him into the bathroom turned the shower on and put him in,, he loved it washed away, and then i put my arm out for him to climb on to get out what a mistake that was i should of used a stick because he bit my hand 3 times the last 1 really really painfull, but i didnt react and with the last bite he climbed onto my arm. but of course he flew straight off it. i caught him put him back on top of his cage and he was all happy again. Im getting a handreared 1 in a couple of months so that will be great to
