growling bird

Post by katraz »

Hi, I'm just wonderin how would be the best way to tame my two birds... I've been trying for months but they either growl or flutter (one has wings clipped the other did but now have grown back) away when i come close. They step up sometimes, but are not interested at all in taking food from the hand, I really want to be able to hand feed them. They both come from seperate avairys but are quite happy living in one cage together (i know it is more difficult to train two birds that live in the same cage but i am not home much during the day so they entertain each other.) they were a couple of months old when i got them (seperate times).

Any help would be great... Thanx in advance.

Start there... getting them both clipped. Thats where training begins. In the meantime, type 'tame or taming' into the search bar at the very top of your screen.

Nothing we can add really about taming. The topic has been beaten to death. So, its archived. After you read threads, you can be more specific in your approach on training and in your questions.

Training 101:

Clip wings, teach step up. Until thats acheived... nowhere else to go. Baby steps.
