everyone, meet Max ... an 8-year-old FEMALE umbrella cockatoo ... she needed a home & we needed a bird ... i think that i mentioned that my daughter-in-law had her "feelers" out for us ... well, lo & behold, here's Max!! we picked her up on saturday ... i won't discuss her circumstances here because i don't wanna offend or intrude on her human "sisters" & their situation, but let's just say it wuz a very sad farewell to reach a happy ending. i gave them the link to this website so that they could come on here & see how we're doing. so far, she's just as happy as a clam!! we have an appointment to see the avian vet on tuesday to get her checked out & make sure that she's in tip-top shape! don't worry everyone, she came with her own cage, too. Willie's not only talking again, but his perky personality is showing its face ... squawking & making those cute IRN boy-bird sounds!! i'm so excited & if her human "sisters" are watching, pleeeeeeeze know that you couldn't have found a better home for her!!
huggles,
Wren
Hope is the thing with feathers
That perches in the soul,
And sings the tune without the words,
And never stops at all
