Hello my name is debra. I just purchased a 2-3 yr old Female ...She was tame at one time ...they said they hadn't let her out in a while. She will come out and sit on ur shoulder and let u pet here ...only on her terms tho. Then just out of the blue she will bite ur ear or face . I don't even do anything .. Unprovoked ...help . what do I do

Oh and her bites aren't exploring bites. ..she drew blood yesterday and this morning was biting my ear pretty hard...loves to be petted ..won't step up unless she is o. The floor or on the bed. I realize it gonna take time to earn her trust but why the hard biting and what do I do to stop it . I'm kinda scared she's gonna try to take my eye out

Welcome Debra to our forum, l think it is best if you do not let your bird sit on your shoulder until you have built trust between you and the bird you will find plenty of good advice on the forum about building that trust.
