Turquoise

Post by Sherjil »

Hi;

I recently bought a female ring neck to add to my aviary. I know for sure that the bird has turquoise in it but can you please tell what exactly is this mutation color or colors. She has dark grey tinge on her head and has a dark red beak with black outline...

Hi there,

She looks like a normal blue turquoise to me...
I have a male and he is exactly the same, except he has just gotten his ring.

Thanks.

Thanks SCB for your help
Can you please tell me how to select turquoise blue in the genecalc as i cant select visual turquoise and blue at the same time.

I was checking on the internet for any visual match birds and here is one i found on http://www.fabulousparrots.com.au/ but it mentions "indigo blue hen" :-

Are turquoise blue and indigo blue different names given to same mutation ?

thanks
