Hello Everyone,
I purchased Windy from my local pet store and noticed the unusual colouring. Windy is mainly blue flecked green and has light coloured eyes. Unfortunately they were unable to tell me what colour the parents are. I was curious as to mutation Windy could be?
Also - I've noticed some are able to tell the sex of the bird by looking at them... any ideas?
Thanks!

Re: What Am I?
Hi there,
This bird will get a lot of different opinions.
Most likley is blue turquiose, but the patern is very odd but the colouring match's.
It also could be a pied but doesnt look quite right.
The other option is a half sider which is usually blue on one side of the body and green on the other but can be anywhere from a dot to exacly split down the middle.
But that is not really a mutation but rather a fault in the genes and cant be reproduced via parents passing to children.
How old is the bird and has it gone through a mult?
Ta Glenn,

wow, that is an interesting colour pattern... looks like its had foils at the hair dressers, lol.

Im thinking Glenns most likely choice of turquoise blue is correct. Looks like it's going through a molt in this pic, and if so that pattern may soften and blend away a bit.
