gargling/brushing beak noises after meal

my indian ringnecks make this wierd noises after they have had a hearty meal...sounds like they are brushing their upper and lower beak.....they wipe the inside of the upper beak with the tongue and bring to the edge of the beak...then make this crackling noise at the edge...the repeat the whole thing...

why are they doing this?

They all do this.

I'm not sure why but it could be that they are cleaning their beak and it may be soothing for them.
