IRN does not talk.

Post by Janice L Parks »

MY IRN NECK IS 4 YEARS OLD AND DOES NOT TALK. WE ARE FULL TIME RV'S SO I AM VERY CLOSE TO HER AND SHE IS ON ME ALL THE TIME AND I TALK TO HER ALL THE TIME. IS THERE ANY HOPE THAT SHE WILL EVER TALK. I LOVE HER ANY, BUT WAS JUST CURIOUS. ALSO I HAVE A LOVE BIRD QUESTION IF ANYONE CAN HELP. MY 2 YEAR OLD FEMALE HAS STARTED LICKING. SHE TURNS HER HEAD SIDEWAYS AND LICKS MY CHEEK, NECK OR ARM. I ALSO SEE HER LICKING THE LITTLE MIRROR IN HER CAGE. COULD SHE BE LACKING SOMETHING IN HER DIET OR DOES SHE JUST LIKE THE TASTE OF ME?
THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR ANY HELP.

I have a big talker. I am a big talker. I too stay with my baby all day.

Some have the same circumstances and not a word.

Does the bird chatter much? A good chatter meant a big talker when it came to my baby.

He now, at 1.5 yrs old says what I ask him to. He only has problems with S's (they are f's like kis kiss is kiff kiff) and 'ch' sounds.

Your bird may start talking tonight or never say a word. There is just as good a chance of getting a talker as there is of getting one that never speaks. If you have had that baby for 4 yrs I will go as far as to say the bird has no want or need for speech and chooses not to.

Let your baby watch my baby. Many here tried that and it does actually work. Maybe some birds dont realize they can speak until they see another bird doing it.

When you get tired of these, let me know and I'll send you more video with different phrases.

He doesnt talk in the first video where I am removing him from his cage but speaks in all of the rest. I thought I had a girl back then.

Good Luck! Visit us often! Got pics of your baby?
