Introducing a new bird

I might be getting a lorikeet. I would like to know the best way to intruce him and Emerald to each other.

Emerald doen't like me to hold the parakeets while i'm holding her, understandable, but she will sit on their cage and has never seemed to be aggressive towards them except when i'm holding her, so i know thats a no no for now.

I just like to be able to keep them both out as much as possible without having to worry about fights.

Also, anyone have any experience with lories?

I know their diet is different.

The best way to introduce two birds to each other is to keep them housed seperatly and let them have supervised time together.

Hi

I let Emerald out when I got home to check out Riley. I kept Riley in. He followed Emerland feet wherever he walked.
Put emerald back. Let riley walk all over his cage emerald watched.

wait a few hows did some one on one time with both, then put them each at the top of the cage, armed myself with a waterbottle Just in case.
Riley immedately when over to check things out. Emerald went to nip. I could see it was an hard nip, my dd though there was going to be a fight and got all upset so i put them backuntil she's in bed. They're cages are side by side right now and they are looking at each other, so i'm sure it will eventually turn out good.

i have seen and held many before at bird shows and at zoos. they can become very tame and friendlly birds and are gorgeous to look at. They are more suited to an aviary though as they squirt the droppings in liquid form and with some force! they need more fresh fruit than most parrots and if they do not have substancial amounts they can become ill very easily.
