I have the same problem but maybe not to the extent of you but my female has more like chewed off her feathers accept for wings and tail but body completely naked, took to the vet he said she was bored, So bought more toys, perches, stuf todo, she still wont let the feathers grow back, now she does...

Sounds to me like he has developed a "dislike" to your hands as a result of your need to grab hold of him (hence feeling trapped and restricted temporarily) in order to re-cage him. A previous Hen I had was like that, but only after I handled her a couple of times forcing her back to her c...

My male IRN chewing feathers until they bleed - Help please?

Hi there all... I bought a male IRN about 6months ago. He was about 4months old at the time. I got the people at the shop to clip him. He chewed away the remaining parts of feathers and whenever new stalks appear he chews at them. They are bloodied and look horrible and painful. Why would he be doin...

Hi I recently bought a white IRN. I just call it an albino because it has pink eyes, feet and nails. When I go outside with her there is the slightest blue shade only visible from certain angles and if your looking really hard in sunlight. What would this be? Hello all

Hi there everyone...

I live in Sydney AUST. and have currently 2 IRNs. I had 1 blue hen previously but I lost her a while back now. The 2 I have now - white hen, Daisy - yellow/green cock, Ziggy. (not sure of the proper terms for their colours)
