I have a 3 year old female in a huge cage and i was wondering if i were to get another one around 5 months of age and put it together with her if that would work out alright?
Thanks

Territory
The 3 yr. old hen may have considered her cage as her own territory and might not welcome the intrusion of another bird in it. Especially with
an age gap that big.
I have a 6 mos.old IRN in a small cage and I placed it very near a big cage
with an IRN family in it and they seem to be hostile to the new bird.
Perhaps putting them together in a cage w/ a divider will give them
a chance to get familiar with each other and later on can be placed together in a cage. This way, physical harm from either bird is avoided .
