Lucky me

Post by mixsetup »

Hi all I had fawlkes in a aviary with 5 other ringnecks. He is a mature 2 to 3 year old Blue. I wanted him to breed with one of the blue hens I have. I was told he was semi tame. Well I wanted to breed from him so I could hand rear one of the young and then one day I caught him under a foot stool I used to see in nest boxes. I hand fed him but he still didn't come really close. The others started to chase him and he started to loose condition. So I put him in a cage and gave him some Sulpher D to help him get better. Then the day came I put my hand in and said up WOW he walked over and stepped up WOW.
I then patted him on his back and then took him for a walk around the house.
He is so tame I can hold him like a ball. So now he is inside as a pet and I don't have to handrear one.

 Just like that. What a find. Sometimes a romp with mean beings and a rescue will do that. But I wouldn't reccomend it. :P
