Confusion on Gencalc

Post by DavidAdelaide »

Please help:
What chicks will I get from the following pairs based on gencalc?
Lutino Cock to Creamino Hen
Blue Cock to Turquoise Blue Pallid Hen
I am thinking:
Pair One: 1.0 ino x 0.1 turq (parblue) ino
Pair Two: 1.0 blue x 0.1 turq parblue pallid.
Would appreciate if someone could confirm.
Thanks...

1. all Lutino's split to Blue or Turquoise (unless the Lutino is split for Blue, then you'll get Albino and Creaminos as well)

2. you'll get all Blues and TurquoiseBlues with all males being split to Pallid

You are not getting the right results because you have left out blue for turquoise blue hens
To input into the calc turquoise blue you need to tick visual turquoise and blue in the split section
without that your results shows as if you had a df turquoise (aka homozygous turquoise)
Parblue is the family Turquoise, Indigo and possibly Emerald belong in, nothing to do with blue at all.

your results should be what Shey said in previous post.
