A she or he?

Post by Iloveringnecks »

Hi all and webmaster :)

My name is Jenny and I live in Stockholm with my husband and pretty lutino female ringneck
I got her Sunday 8th july and she is not tame yet but I wonder, is "she" really a "she" ? "She" is 1 year old
and time will tell but the former owner bought her in a pet store and according to him it is a she and 1 year old, but are they sure?
I love this bird no matter is a she or he
She,s allready squeals and crackles relaxed with her beak beak :D

Hi and welcome

You can't know for sure until about two unless:
1. your bird has been DNA or surgically sexed
2. the breeder knows the gender of the bird because of the colour mutation. For example, if my two bred (male lutino, female blue) all of the males would be green and all of the females would be lutino.
