hey welcome :) im not an expert as i am hand feeding my first IRN aswell, mines 7 weeks old i got him at 4 and a half weeks :)

but some pointers i always found were as such
- make sure you feed the baby the same formula that it has been feeding from previous owner, if you change the babycould get distressed.
- food cannot be too hot or too cold, my bird enjoys it when its warmer than my body heat, if its my body heat or colder he wont take it.
- keep him in a cardboard box to keep him warm. i used saw dust shavings as a bedding and i put a plush toy in there for him to cuddle
- and keep the room at a steady temperature so ur bird isnt having hot and cold flushes :)
