Waiting
After mating how long does it take for them to lay eggs? I don't see anything about that on this site. My pair have been mating like crazy and still nothing has happened. Also how long after they lay the eggs until they hatch?

Re: Waiting
I usually see mine mating up to 3 weeks before the first egg is laid....but they could start earlier and I just not see them.
Depending on how old and experienced your pair are, if they are actually doing the deed. May be just practicing or not getting it right to begin with.
Also how many eggs the hen lays will determine when she starts incubating, but aprox 21-23 days to hatch from when incubation starts.
My hen generally has 4-5 eggs in a clutch and begins incubation on the 3rd egg. First chick generally hatches 21 days after hen begins incubation, followed by other chicks a day or two later.
