I am about to get an Alexanderine. I have lots of Bamboo, (golden bamboo) growing around my place. Would that be good to give to the bird, fresh and/or dried??

Wow, almost 40 views and not ONE reply?? Ok, I did some more research, bamboo is fine for parrots........harmless, and they may enjoy chewing and destroying..........I have strarting giving my parrot some, and she enjoys chewing on it, like any wood.

Yes, bamboo is great to give to the birds. I'm trying to figure out where I can get some from.

There is one form of bamboo thats not safe, I dont know which one, but Im sure your vet can help.
