eggs are gone

there was 4 eggs 1 week ago now they have all gone they should of started to hatch on the 12/9 would they eat ther own eggs i found one on the ground. :!: :!: :cry: :cry:

Kelly yes some times they will do this. Is this a young pair or do they have a history of this? If they are fairly young and inexperienced it probably will not happen again. Do you know if the eggs were fertile? Next time they lay you might want to candle them and if you find they are fertile you may want to pull them and incubate them. What kind of diet do you have them on? That might give us a clue too. Very sorry this happened. It just happened to me a couple of weeks ago but the baby hatched and the parents were pulling toes off. I was shocked to see this but it happens and we go on. Good luck in the future.

Something could have disturbed them.
Do they get enough calcium?

this is my first time breding birds i think im doing everything by the book.
thay get loots of fresh fruit and vegies every day also get seed.i give them boiled eggs cut up once a week.what else do you think i should be doing :?: :?: :? :? .
