Hi! and welcome to this wonderful board! You can learn a lot by asking questions around here. There are no dumb questions in reguarding these birds  . They will try your patience and almost make you rip your hair out but they are so worth it. I own an albino named Princess (prinny for short) and she acts like her namesake. She has just gotten through a stage they call 'Bluffing'. When they bluff they test their limits to see what they can get by you. this is a very trying time and *sighs* MOST birds do go through it.

Please ask all sorts of questions...and post pics when you do decide to bring one of these beautiful birds into your home

When I say its ALL about the bird from now on, I meant it, this is a compilation of the last 3 weeks, yes ONLY 3 weeks with my new baby. He is a blue I have even started a little webpage for him - http://www.geocities.com/xkyriax/index.html, but of course never kept up with new stuff because he takes up alot of my time. And then there is My husband and three kids , oh damn I forgot I even had them. LMAO.

Kai is a real mummies boy

teaching him -

step up (he knows and does this perfectly)
I love you baby (starting to say)
yummy food (understands, comes straight over for waiting for it)
gorgeous
oh oh
go home (knows what this means)

He adhores -

when I whistle "Nat king coles or/ luther vandross- when I fall in love" (it will be forever)
Corn
hot chillies (note to self . do not kiss after he has eaten them.. OUCH!)
capsicum
grey sunflower seeds
rockmellon and their seeds (note check if the seeds are ok for him)
pear
apple
lemon grass (mainly to rip up)
graham sage and the sweet honey from the flowers
his chain with nots and a bell on the end
my shoulder strap
my bluetooth headset (I wonder what he thinks about all the noise coming from mums head .. lol)
my earing
my daughter (she's his surrogate)
preening himself
kissing me (big grin)
his own voice - talking and making jungle noises
(grr at the 7.30am stage)
when I blow air on his feathers and rub his beak
playing with his rings on the spare bedrooms bed

He hates -

deep sounds (of course)
shaddows (of course)
sudden hand movements
being made to step up and taken off my shoulder
water (at the mo.) working on making this a love
not having me around - hubby says he carries on like a pork chop when I am not in sight - this will settle I hope - but don't I love it *grin*

Things for me
to remember -

never give him avacado
black sunflower seeds are not good
(give only grey ones)
pits from stone fruits
keep wings clipped makes for easier taming and
his not escaping
Asparagus
guacamole
Chocolate
Onion
Weeping Fig
Coffee (Caffeine)
Some Tea

Welcome to the board! There's plenty of information already on the site through different topics. You have a lot of reading to do. 8)

I've been called 'birdbrained' before, but somehow I don't think this is what they meant. say:hah-nay
