ive had my irn for 3 weeks now and he still wont come out his cage. a got him from a rescue centre.

You are awesome for taking him in.
Just keep socializing with him. You never know what the poor guy has been through.
Talk to him when everytime you walk by the cage and keep the door opened for him to venture out when he is ready. Offer treats regularly but don't force him. Just be really mellow with him
He will come around. It is just a matter of him getting use to you and trusting his new environment.

Maybe use a treat that he likes or a nice new toy and leave it just outside the cage hopefully he will get curious and venture out

Just keep leaving the door open for him wen you are home. Keep socializing with him, just like CalamariBaby said.
