Hi, My name is Liam and I have owned an IRN for about 4 - 6 years, his name is Pasha and we got him for free from a home for elderly people with Special needs because my mom worked there.
It was in a state of depression and was losing it's feathers, It was very young and it's cage had literally been thrown around the room and the bird had almost had it's wings ripped off, the owner (an old lady with Dementia) was throwing it about and trying to kill it, but because of her mental illness, she didn't realise what she was doing, and had to be given up.
Unfortunately, nobody had the time for it, and it was eventually given to us, because we knew that it would have a same home where we were.
Unfortunately, He seems as though his bluffing session wasn't too easy for him at the home, so he is a very frightened and jumpy bird, and he always bites, mainly when he feels frightened.
It can crawl up my arm, and I have even stroked it all the way down to the start of his tail, but he still gets very scared.
He is green, and very greedy! :P
We try our best for him, and I hope we've done the right thing.

What a sad story for your IRN. :( Glad to see he is in a much better and loving enviroment.

I have yet to see an "un"greedy ringie lol. I think they think with their stomach!

Welcome to the forum Liam and hope to see a few pics of your ringneck. :)

Pink is right about them being greedy hehe, they would walk over hot coals just to get to a good meal hehe.
