I'm thinking about making a play gym for Sky. I would like to know what kinds of wood i could use. The local lumber yard has dowel wood poles that look like the same stuff those plain bird perches are made out of. Is it? A list of safe branches, base woods (as in woods i could use as "floor"), and various other perching and chewing woods are greatly appreciated. I would like it to have a lot of levels with different sorts of woods for him to chew and have fun with. I'd also like to make it so i could hang a couple of toys from it and attach some food and water dishes. Any ideas/advice would be greatly appreciated.
