Hi all Ringneck lovers! I'm a new user from Melbourne, Australia. Love the site, some great information on this forum. I currently have only 2 birds, a Blue male and an Albino female, but I am looking at expanding my collection. I gave birdkeeping up for a while but missed it and decided to get back into it. I had my first Indian Ringnecks back in the mid 80's and have been fascinated by them ever since. Cheers Tim. Melbourne, Australia.

Ringies are great birds, hey. My first IRN got me started into bird keeping. lol

I now have around 33 birds varying from IRN, Sun Conures, Rainbow Lories, Galahs, Eckies, the list goes on and on lol.

I love Albinos and one day hope to have one of my own bred. Fingers are crossed. lol

Looking forward to seeing piccies of your birds and hearing all abour then.

I agree, IRN's are awesome birds! Apart from the two I currently have, I have a rainbow lorikeet that I saved from the jaws of a cat, he was only a baby, and is now a big beautiful boy who is lucky to be alive! Can't fly well, but has a big aviary to himself and is a real character. Makes me feel good to think that I gave him a second shot at life.

I also have 2 cockatiels, a cinnamon and a Platinum Pearl.

Galahs eh? One of my favourites!!
I have seen pics of your Jasper and the Grey bird, they would have to be the best looking Ringies I have seen!

I have tiels as well lol. 2 young girls, (1 who thinks she is already grown up and looking for a man) both around the 9month age.
One is a whiteface platinum, the other is a whiteface pearl. Then an old man of about 10ish who is a lutino.

Good to hear that you managed to save the lori and he is doing fine. I love lories to (can't think of any birds that I don't love lol ).
They used to be a pest in the vineyard back in QLD where I worked, destroying all the grapes and citrus crops. They had to eat to, but the farmers didn't see it that way and used to shoot them. I have not seen any where near the numbers as there once was there. Shame really
I took a trip to Woollongong earlier this year and it was great to see them in the wild there.

The galahs should be breeding this season. The male was a bit young last year but he had great intentions lol Oh well, I guess it was a practice run lol

Awsome to see another Aussie around. I am in Adelaide myself, have been breeding birds (ringnecks and conures) for 6 years now. I fell in love with ringnecks for their genetics (geek) and then fell in love with their personalities heh.
