Fallow outcomes

Post by rick_s0910 »

Hello everyone... I dont know anything about fallows and am thinking of getting one. I have a Dominant Edged Grey male that I want to breed with either a Fallow Blue, a Fallow Green/Blue, or a Fallow Lime/Blue Hen(which I am being offered). What colors will I get with from these pairs. What female do you recommend. Also, whats the deal with fallows (describe). I have no idea what these birds look like. I want to make sure I am getting an actuall fallow and not some other mutation.

Thanks for your time,
Jay

You already own a Fallow. Your Dominant Edged Grey is actually a Fallow (their old erroneous name). These birds are now called Dominant Edge. They usually have duller color with an edged pattern on the wing tips and tails. Some specimens look like the Normal variety hence they are not relatively attractive and as popular as the other mutations.

True Fallows have dark red eyes, lighter colored feet and inherits recessive. They could either be the Bronze Fallow or the Clearhead Fallow also known as Buttercups.
