So,In India though it's illegal to have parrots but they are sold and people love to buy them.
Same was in my case I bought an unweaned baby parrot 2 weaks ago but he is looking inactive since 2 days but eating.
Shopkeeper told me to feed him boiled chickpeas thrice a day.So i am doing that. He has just got hairs over his wings and hair started growing at head.
He is eating chickpeas no hunger loss.
Please help me.
I have experience with fish turtle cow dogs but with bird it's first time.
Pellets not available here.
I love my parrot and don't want to loose him at any cost.

I think you should review feeding instructions for babies. I don't know much about it, but I think he should eat more often.

In that stage it needs to eat more often and needs special hand raring food, with all the nutrients it needs for the healthy life.
Boiled chic peas are nothing.
He is eating, cause he is hungry, but not getting much out of it.
