Hello...a question i wanna ask..

Post by BILO »

Lately i was on holiday in a nearby country and almost 2 weeks ago my brother called and he told me that when he woke up in the morning he saw ALOT of blood all over the floor in the home from my IRN...i was extremely shocked that i told him i was going to take a flight back as i was speaking...he said that she is doing ok and stopped bleeding but she is kinda "dizzy" from the blood loss...he said that she walks and sometimes her legs will get weak and go back up on her wings...the bleeding was caused by a wound she had ever since we took her from the Condition she was in...and it used to have a few drops of blood come out of it almost once weekly...the wound is a "i think" defected feather because the old one fell off and a new one came up but it doesn't go along with the other feathers...anyway...my breother took her to the vet and he told me that the vet gave him vitamins to feed her and he cleaned the wound....now it's bin 2 weeks from that Horrific day i had and i will be going back within a few days and he is saying that she is back to normal and as good as before.....my question is...should i be worried now ?...will anything happen later on concerning that wound and what should i do ???...and in-case u were wondering i think it's an Aviation Feather (it has a thick bone if you'd call it bone)

Thanks For reading :)

maybe she plucked it because of it was in the way and hurting her a little ?
just look for signs of her taking feathers out cause she might be plucking...
did you rescue this bird ? if so she may be plucking cause of her past etc some people are cruel to birds so thats why somtimes they pluck alot of there feathers and maybe she got the wrong one...

if you see signs of her doing it again just take her back to the vets IF you are ever worried about your bird dont think about it just take her to the vet as this could cost you your bird if not...

only YOU know her best so if she dont seam her self and you get worried take her down to vets thats all i can say hope all is well
