If a Blue cock is bred with a Violet hen, will their blue babies just be blue or will they have anything special towards them?

Thanks,

Just plain Blue. It's not possible for them to be split to Violet. Birds can't be split to a dominant mutation such as Violet.

Depends if the Viuolet Hen is SF or DF

Blue Cock x SF Violet Blue Hen
=Blue Cocks and Hens
=SF Violet Blue Cocks and Hens

Blue Cock x DF Violet Blue Hen
=SF Violet Blue Cocks and Hens

Jeremy is right that if any of the parents is a DF Violet and mated to a plain Blue, then all offsprings are Violet Blues (visual Violets).

But since your question involves a Blue Cock bred to a Violet Hen, then all visual Blue babies will not have any Violet in them, be it Double-Factor, Single-Factor or Split.

And if you have any visual Blue babies, it also guarantees that the Violet hen is Single-Factor (AKA Violet Blue).
