First off, if I haven't mentioned it....I sure am glad I found you guys, cuz my friends, family and coworker really found it hard to look thrilled by the time I was on about bird five! Here are the new babies! They actually are pretty small, though I think they were well cared for in their first home.

Here are the two boys doing a bit of grooming

and here is the whole crew

They are a bit skittish, but are settling in well to Camp Chaos.

Glad to meet the new fids

You have a heart of gold and I am sure there are days
when camp chaos doesn't even begin to describe it.

But oh how I love that kind of chaos.

So do you think birds can catch MBS from their owners?

Baby budgies (from the other cage--gave them two nest boxes since they were fighting over the one) finally have untangled themselves and there are three from Bonnie (look to be blue ones like she and Elijah) and three from Lovey (think they will be green like she and Pete, but no feathers yet). They make the cutest little noises!

Apparently

It even affects the fids.

You may need a few more cages at the rate they are reproducing.

Cages I have....keep buying bigger ones and not getting rid of the little ones (hmmm....sounds kinda like the bird collection, now that I think about it). Last year the crew only had two budgies, think they are learning too quick (actually it was Elijah and Blue last year, they just went up one baby, Pete and Lovey were rescues several months ago). I thought about asking the folks at PetSmart today if they would sell me their whole glass-front bird display. It would look great in my living room, be much cleaner than seed, etc in all directions and I have almost enough birds to fill it <ROFL>

Good idea
