IRN food radar!!!!!

i'm an insomniac and often having late nights.
Amazon sleeps in the loung covered up ect, and sleeps well.
but when i decide in the wee hours of the AM to have a feed,
amazon, wakes up and makes a hell of a noise untill i let him out to eat with me.
he was sound asleep before i sat down with the food.
your IRN do this?

Insomniac too dude.
Feel for ya man.
But my bird isnt. Try to touch him after 10 pm and you will draw back a numb.
He takes his sleep very seriously.

amazon doesn't mind being woken up, but i tend to leave him alone.
now we have finished my snack he just jumps off me and goes back to his cage to sleep. no cuddles, no kisses, not even a thank you gesture.
with that sort of behviour Amazon must be male......

You're probably right!
My Nila loves to stay up all night too and wakes up and snacks with me, while Priya once on her nite time perch will lift her head and look but won't want to come out to eat or anything else.
they really are unique little personalities

Shelby thinks when we eat it's time for her to eat and she's got an uncanny pizza radar.. she loves pizza crust. As much as she doesn't like my daughter (doesn't like kids period) she will mooch right up to her, peering over her shoulder on the couch and mooching food to which Megan kind of responds with a squeak and one of those deer in the headlights looks
Hands over thepizza crust then scurries away while Shelby is snacking and tries to hide from her

Funny how you can get a Ringneck to overcome it's fear or dislike of
something with a little pizza crust.
Same with me and chocolate. Probably why I like these birds so much.
They have a strong sense of what's important and Pizza crust is probably at the top of Shelby's list.
So what's at the top of Amazon's list?

he eats our chinese, spag and anything that we like eatting.

Lou will eat anything i do... and if i try to hide it or don't share and he's in his cage... he will make such a loud fuss till i let him out it's not funny. His new thing is flying around me until he lands on the table lol
