Their home!!!

Post by Kateykat »

OMG OMG OMG!!! Their home and their just beautiful. Pictures just didn't do justice to these two little guys. I can't believe that my two babies are finally home.
Pepper (the pastel sky blue) is the most incredible colour. She is this soft floaty blue with flashes of green. She was very happy to be out of the travel box. The first thing she did was start chewing on one of the whiffle ball toys in the cage.
Silk (the Grey) is just a cuddle monster. She stepped up onto my hand straight out of the box. Let me give her a scritch on the head and comes over to the side of the cage where I am sitting and looks at me. Oh and she's HUGE. I can't get over how darn big she is. But sooooo sweet.
At this moment Pepper is playing and exploring all the cage and Silk is calmly eating a slice of apple.
Jeremy thank you so much, I just love them. I will take some pictures once they have settled in a bit.

Sounds like you're having fun.

Glad they settled in so well already.

My grey is so much bigger than my blue,
Jeremy.... is that the norm, greys are usually bigger birds or is
this coincidental?

Pepper and Silk, I like that.

Just a quickie

I decided to leave their cage door open, and within about 2 minutes they were crawling all over the cage like two little ants. Silk spotted the boing and was up it like a monkey, Pepper then followed nearly making it all the way to the roof.
Sorry about how big the picture is, I haven't resized it yet

What a pretty pair. Look like my Nila and Priya.
Except Priya would be trying to bite Nila if he were that close.

Thanks so much for the pictures. They are darling.
Not as cute as your two little girls, but close. :D

Good to see they have adjusted well Katie.
Wasn't sure how they'd go.

Silk's parents are big birds and their babies always seem to be bigger than my other pairs. Silk is one of the tamest babies i've ever reared. Enjoys scritches and loves to be cuddled. Never even bit me.
Pepper was starting to get a bit timid and started to bite a bit, but she would still eventually step up. Once she moults she should calm down a bit. I had a baby exactly like her last season who turned out to be a very sweet bird after its moult.
