Appologies for the late reply. I hope you have found some guidance by now.. If not, I hope the following info helps.

your bird is angry/upset.
Leave your bird alone for a couple minutes to cool down before coming to try and pick him up again..

When he bites you, give him a dirty look and say no in a firm voice. Eventually, he will learn that this behaviour is unacceptable.

Your bird is obviously not used to you yet, so this requires lots of patience and persistence. When you walk up to his cage, walk up slowly and talk to him as you do so.. Maybe have his favourite treat in your hand that you can give him.. Slowly, he will learn that he can trust you and will start coming to you easier. When he is used to you, you can then start teaching him to "step up" on command..
Though you don't want to use this command too much as he may sometimes feel forced to step up instead of coming to you because he WANTS to..

Hope this helps..

Good luck!

Thank you for your help. We have managed for him to get along with at least one of us, my daughter (he would always attack her since we got him and all she did was try to ignore him a couple of times and that seem to work). I will give your suggestion a try. I appreciate your help because I even purchase a book on Asiatic birds that really didn't have any answers for us.
