First time IRN owner from London

Hi all!
My name is Gabi and I live in London. 2 weeks ago I became the proud owner of my beautiful IRN Harry (although I'm not 100% sure It's a he.. That what they told me, he's about a year old)
We took him over from friends as they couldn't look after it..
We had a bit of a shaky start, but this site has already helped me a lot with tips and stories in How to look after him!
I look forward spending some more time with you all!

Original I'm from the Netherlands but I live in North London since 2008
(Walthamstow, to be exact)
This is a brilliant forum! It has helped me so much already, but there is still so mich to learn!
Especially as we've had a rough start.. (Lots of stress, he's on antibiotics now, the poor thing!)

That's a while ago! You should consider visiting again! Apart from the tulips and windmills we've got a lot to offer! Eindhoven would be worth visiting!

Madourodam, pardon for my french is where we used ti camp on the Royal Dutch camp site now developed. It is great to use Google street view and the little cafe we used ot hang out in is still there, There is a little model village near Eindhoven

Aahw Madurodam is awesome! A lot of work had gone into that attraction
! Haven't been there for ages
There is quitte a bit of snow on the way tonight I heard.. There seem to live a lot of IRN's wild somewhere here in London in a park.. Will they survive that cold you think?!

They will. We have a feral colony somewhere in New Jersey, USA, and here's their forecast right now, arbitrarily at the middle part of the state. Just in case it changes, it reports 21 degrees Fahrenheit and it's 1 AM. Tomorrow daytime they expect 33 F and tomorrow night 28 F and snow!

You can do your own conversions of degrees F to degrees C, however,
0 F = about minus 18 C
10 F = about minus 12 C
20 F = about minus 6 C
30 F = about minus 1 C
and then we have 32 F which = O C which = water freezes.
I don't know about the weather in London but, in New Jersey, It's Plenty Cold!

Ah but what about the other way 10 c = , 20 c=, ? 30 c = very hot weather

Haha thanks for the conversions to degrees C.. Fahrenheid is gibberish to me
It's really surprising that they can survive in those temperatures (as wel as yourself btw.. In London It's generally wet and neither cold or warm.. Except for the odd exceptions like this week)
Same with the extreme heat you get there.. But I'm glad they survive!
I assume they cool down in water and stay in the shade most days when It's hot.. And when they molt they'll probably shed more/thicker feathers than birdies that are used to the indoors.. Talking of molting.. I believe Harry's just started his molt (a first for me)
he looks so scruffy! How long does a molt normally last?
