Hi there.

We got them at 5 weeks..They were 10 weeks yesterday 15/12
We have done the hand feeding and the taming.
They are 99% weened . i still give them a little bit of formula at supper when ready for bed.
It still lets me be a mum.lol
They eat really well Fruit ,vegi, seed, pellets, toast with jam and egg.
They loved there cuddles.
They are only in cage when bed at night.
I have a blanket on the floor with all there toys . They have a toy area on top of cage,
They both have wings clipped (4)
They always on my shoulder.
Now there changing.
Dont like being held. only when they want too .
They run away when need to pick them up.
They wont come to us..
They know there names ok..
Im a little upset as i am lost now how to fix it and go to the next stage,
I know they are babies still.
I give them a treat and they take it then back to normal. wont do anything lol

They're beautiful. Hey @AJPeter, are they just doing that "bluffing" thing I've read about?

Oh lordy, Jabbers is sitting on my shoulder and playing with my hair. It tickles.

I've no experience of "bluffing", Sanjay has never displayed bluffing, but at their age, aren't they a bit too young?. Maybe they're just growing up and getting more confident and self assertive.

Ring necks are independent birds. Look but don't touch was said about them and it's pretty accurate. Hands on training everyday is the only thing that may work. If they know they can't escape the handling they may submit. However they will never be like a conure or another cuddly bird. They are very independent. We had a conure to through this phase and my 11 mo IRN. They are solo birds however and may believe that we are their flock. You have two birds that coexist together and may have isolated themselves as an independent flock just some guesses. It's like putting a mirror in their cage. Sometimes they grow more fond of that bird in the mirror than you. Keep at it. Sounds like you are doing great. They mature a little differently than other birds. Just keep at it and don't reinforce anything you don't want.
