African Grey

Post by Achilles&Percy »

I have an opportunity to get an African Grey from a rescue. They have 3 that need adopting, but I can only take one. That is only if he and Percy and Achilles will get along. Does anyone know if African Grey's and IRN's will cohabitate? I don't plan on keeping them in the same cage, but they will be in the same room and have a free run of the house when we are home. Any advice?

Every bird is an individual. You won't know until you try. Just keep in mind, if a cockatiel can literally pull the beak off of a budgie, what kind of damage could a grey do to an IRN? Or what might an aggressive IRN do to the toes of a reclusive grey?

So- supervise. Always.

I've been called 'birdbrained' before, but somehow I don't think this is what they meant. say:hah-nay
