Raising IRN alone or partner
Hi, this is my first bird and he's sooo cute. I'm really concerned about raising him (or her) alone. I just read these birds mate for life. Can I raise him alone? I work out of my house so I'm with him a lot. Or should I get him a friend. I'm not ready to invest in another IRN so is there a lower maintenance bird that he would be happy with. Will that bird live as long a Kiwi? What should I do. I want him to be happy.

Hi Birdbrain,
Since you are home a lot and spend lots of time with your IRN I would not get another. So long as he is getting enough attention from you he will be very happy
Our boy gets quality time with and without us and I would say he is very pleased with the situation because he does not have to share our love with another bird.
Hope this helps
