Lyn,

Regarding the debate, before such claim is made (who has & what it looks like etc) i suggest you guys start with pics of the parents

The parents
One parent must carry the Turquoise mutation & the other parent Emerald, the only way to breed a TurquoiseEmerald
& work your way from there.

anyone claiming anything without this info i would consider weak evidence.

the only bird i have coming close to what you're asking is an unconfirmed "Turquoise" Emerald Pied

"Turquoise" = Certainly a Parblue mutation perhaps a variation of Turquoise named Saddleback, it'll be confirmed through breeding.

I think the issue is telling if it's emerald or pastel showing or both. Seems to be very hard to identify without test breeding however the price of a pastel violet pied is quite different to a pastel violet emerald pied.
I believe the parents are what is claimed but that does not guarantee emerald in that offspring.

From what i have seen the best way i can describe an EmeraldTurquoise Violet Pied V Turquoise Violet Pied

The EmeraldTurquoise Pied chest/rump is a lime green color whereas Turquoise Violet Pied has a dirtier lookin rump/chest

We are dealing with pieds & it is much harder as they always change their phenotype not like say a WHWT

I did not get the pics yet, email is better if you can.

Ok

I got the pics Thanks.

It could carry the Emerald gene, still, i would want to see good pics of the father and rest of the youngsters.
but if i wanted to buy this bird i would not pay more than what a Turquoise Violet Pied is worth due to its size, it is on the small side
possibly due to parents stop feeding it a few days before fleding to encourage them to get out of the nest, or was one of the last hatched etc etc
it happends.

here's a pic of a TurquoiseEmerald Pied

Here's Peter S.'s Emerald Violet Pied very similar to the 1 in Q.
