one dominant male has bred with 3 hens in the colony

thought this may be interesting to other colony breeders...i have one stud in my aviary 
...12 birds altogether but my mature blue male has mated with 3 hens and they are were all pregnant...i say were as i lost his partner to egg binding...something i hope i never have to see again as it was horrendous.. 
anyway..he nows his job as he mated with my green hen and lutino hen and they both have eggs (2 chicks so far ) BUT what is interesting is its the other males (one mature one immature) that are looking after the hens...so not sure if this is something other colony breeders have found...but i guess unless i seperate the pairs next year...at least 2 hens are going to be serviced by him again (total stud )..but id really like the other guys to get a chance too
