If that bird was in SA, I'd go with SF NT violet SF dark. In your case, I'd guess SF deep SF dark.

Johan,
i'd go with your first guess as the correct one.
deep dark should have almost black flights
these birds have strong darker blue in the flights.

yep, one can see everything on the website once a page is opened
still relevant to show a particular pic link so there's no confusion which bird is talked about.

Of course.
Notice the dark body with lighter than expected tail.
Cobalt cock and NT hen (parents of some of the birds in the other topic). These NT birds were imported from Europe as cobalts, and you can see why.

These birds are bred in South Africa & NT stands for Nico Theunissen violet
breeder's name that bred/imported? these birds

Interesting topic - I'll be getting a violet soon, but do not know the specifics, I had no idea there were so many different violets. I know it's split to clearhead/cleartail. What would be the correct questions to ask the breeder about color specifics?
