Can a Ringneck, or any parrot,,,Choke?

A few times I've noticed Gracie seems to be struggling when eating something crunchy. It's like she works and works to free up something stuck in her throat. What in the world would someone do in a case that the bird couldn't dislodge whatever it was?????? The few times I've seen this it has absolutely scared me!
