On first look I have to ask what did they use to dye it? What does the label say, all the big and little words?

It doesn't say. I'd be using it to add to a play gym for Graice. For traction on PVC.

I meant, what are all the words on the label, in big and small letters. I'm suspicious of a black dye as all natural. Most black things in nature are really very dark brown or purple. I'd like to see you switch for the natural colour. If her feet are going to be always in contact with it, especially if things get wet, I'd want to know what that dye is. Of course, I *am* an admitted extremist. :D She is likely to taste it as well.

I think I'll opt for getting more natural hemp. That's what I've used on a portion of the play gym. I was just trying to make it a bit more "decor" friendly for in my MOM Cave. It will be hanging from the corner for her to be on while I work. I should post a pic of it in progress. I think I'll do that right now.
Thanks for the input. I always appreciate hearing from the experts! :D

Hahaha! "MissK, Jute Expert"! I like the sound of that!

Honestly, I love the stuff. I use it for the birds, for tying stuff in a pinch, and I just now hot glued some on the border of a greeting card I just made. Don't be surprised if next year I report I used it on "homespun" style Christmas ornaments........

I understand about the decor. Think "neutral background".

Jute is generally fine but as MissK said there could be a problem with the dye.
