Mite spray

Post by Tyeman »

So lately when i put the birdies in the outside cage while cleaning there inside area one of the local magpies comes and sits ontop of the cage im pretty worried because the magpie has bald patches and what not so pretty sure it has mites or something....Im just wondering when using mite spray how do i spray their heads without getting it in there eyes??? seems impossible

Just like women who spray their hair by covering their eyes, and keep spray at a good distance too. Best to spray from behind the head as less likely it will get in their eyes.

Personally, I'd talk to an avian vet about it. I also try not to let my birds interact with the wild bird population.

Best talk to an Avian vet about the magpie and about spraying too.

I was curled up with a book this evening and I swear it said don't use mite spray.

Also, I would not rely on spraying from behind the head because Ringneck eyes are more on the side than human eyes.
