Lutino coloring

Post by Skyes_crew »

Forgive me if the answer is obvious or if the question has been asked before....but what is the difference between the Lutino's that are pure yellow all over and the Lutino's with cream tipped flights and tail feathers, and the Lutino's with cream flights and the center two tail feathers which are cream colored half way down to the tip? Are they just marked differently? Is there such a thing as a DF lutino?

My lutino is a brilliant yellow all over except for his flights which are a transparent cream color and his center tail feathers are mostly cream colored with the barb being almost pure white. I know it's common since I've seen other photos of birds that look just like him. I would just like to know the differences. Thanks :D
I am owned by my birds...and I wouldn't have it any other way :D

I've never actually seen one shey...I'm going off of the description posted just about everywhere that they are a "pure yellow bird with a red beak and pink eyes...flesh colored feet". That's why I was confused that my bird looked different than the description. So there is no pure yellow lutino then??

The only pure yellow bird that I have see is a sl edged adm pied hen. She is the only one I have see that has the yellow wing and tail feathers.
