willing to learn

Post by ducatirule »

I have a pair, a blue cock bird and a white hen. They bred 2 blue last season and have bred the same again this season. I am wanting to know what colors are best to pair with the young, to get some interesting colors. In advance please accept my thanks for all advice and suggestions. As I said, willing to learn. 8)

Have you done a google search and found any colors that you like? There are quite a few things you could pair with blue. Your male babies from last year and this year will be split to Ino. All of your hens will be straight blues. Have you considered violets? You could pair the hens with violet cocks. And maybe pair the cocks with turquoise blue hens or creamino hens or even a pallid hen. PallidIno (one of the resulting offspring using a pallid hen) is one of my favorite colors :D
I am owned by my birds...and I wouldn't have it any other way :D
