Hi
I am a new owner of this one. But I don't know its scientific as well as its common name. Please help me to identify this species. it doesn't have any ring neck and the face is reddish as you can see in the photo and body is green. No shoulder patch like Alexandrines though.
Thanks
Please help me identifying my parrot species

Hi
I am from India and I got the bird here though parrot trading is illegal in India. I have uploaded another pic of the bird. i don't know why but i can't upload more pics as it says "Sorry, the board attachment quota has been reached.".
Sorry

A plum head wouldn't have a red beak surely?, looks like a hen ringneck, maybe an elderly one,

Hi
Actually the bird's face is reddish from the first day I bought it. So I don't know..the seller said its still young...do you think the young Indian Ring-Neck's face is reddish at young age?
I have one more question, At what age does the young cock IRN develop the ring around its neck?
Please tell me..

I agree, and of course, food juices stain feathers, have you given her/him a shower yet?, if the colour washes out, then you can get a better idea.
