I just brought an indian ringneck, which we have named Rookie.
I am totally worried about him/her, s/he was handraised, and I am meant to finish the feeding. S/he is getting nippy now (its only been 2 days) So I was wondering if there was something that I did wrong. As a result s/he is not eating...
I am really worried about it. I did alot of research on them before I decided to add one to my family.
Please help

Re: Hi everyone!
Can you go back to the breeder? In my opinion, he should not have been given to you until he was fully weaned.

Re: Hi everyone!
Thanks for your reply
I did take Rookie back to the breeder, who explained that s/he was just "beaking" my hand to get up.
The good news is that s/he is now eating millet and seed, and also that s/he seems to have the sweetest personality ever!
S/he likes to sit on my hand and fluff up and preen! I'm happy and I now know that I made the right choice, I think Rookie just needed time to settle in.
