wire thickness for IRN aviary

Post by driver_hr »

Hello guys i have 3 breeding pairs in large cages at the moment. I have a outdoor aviary with 6x4 feet sections.

But each section is separated with 19 gauge aviary mesh wire, the sections are double wired so thrle birds cant fight through the mesh.

Now my question is that 19 gauge wire is to be recommended for cockatiels, is this thick enough for IRN's? Will the ringnecks be able to chew through this wire?

Thanks

Hi, go for 1.6mm thick wire welded mesh that has 25.4mm x 12.7mm rectangular holes

Thanks
