Blue vs Aqua??? How to tell the difference???

Hi everyone,
Is anyone able to explain and/or post pics showing the difference between a blue and an aqua blue IRN?? There are so many birds being advertised as "aqua blue", but they don't look much different to what I would think was normal blue, (bearing in mind that photo's are always hard to judge colour by). The only example of an "aqua" blue I can find on the internet is here:

and here:

Now I have a BLUE male, but I can make him look this colour if I use a flash and/or certain camera settings. So what's the diff??
And if you DID have an "aqua blue" bird - how would you enter it on the GenCalc??
Thanks in advance

In gencalc you would just use the Turquoise Mutation as it would breed the same way and just substitue Aqua where it says Turquoise.
In person they do look different and are still quite rare. Known in Australia as an Emerald. The turquoise mutation gives a Blue bird a greenish colour over head and wings but with Aqua it a more even colour over the whole body. Is being used with greta effect in Pieds and Cleartails when mixed with other Colours.
In Australia you can buy a young Blue for $50 but and Aqua will be over $1500.

Hi
Aqua is a similar to the turquoise gene in the way one would calculate the breeding results, and correctly said in the other post below it has a more consistent color effect over the entire body of the bird.
They are defiantly not as common as a turquoise bird and in my opinion a much more attractive bird (perhaps its just me)
I have emailed you some pictures of Aqua vs Turquoise which you welcome to share with the other people (re post if you want)
Kind regards

Sorry Zane, but I'm with Madas on this one. I suggest having a look at them under UV. They should look distinctly different from normal parblues.

Hi guys,
Thanks for all you input!
So what I can gather from all this, is that a TRUE aqua bird is rather a rare mutation (at the moment), and should fetch quite a high price tag.....and the "aqua blue" birds I've been seeing for sale here in WA for anywhere between $100 and $200, are really just "blue" IRNs, and the breeders are not informed enough to know the difference?
Being the pedantic perfectionist that I am,

, I'm finding it increasingly frustrating coming across birds for sale that have been incorrectly colour identified
You guys will have to excuse my thirst for knowledge on the subject of IRN mutations (I'm slightly addicted!).....I'm sure I'll have heaps more queries in the coming weeks, months...YEARS!!
I've also been avidly following your threads on parblues, turquiose, violets, etc, and learning so much, so thankyou
