Just brought home our first Ringneck yesterday. We are new to these birds, but we think shes about a year old and likely a female because of no pronounced ring markings. We are letting her alone mostly so she can settle. We bought her at a flea market; she was not handled well and is missing her tailfeathers and has abrasions on her wings. She is nervous and timid. We will give her the best care we know how.
We have experience with other birds not a parrot.
Looking forward to hearing from this group and getting advice and support.
