ideas for aviary setup for breeding

HI, I'm going to be setting up a pair of ringnecks for breeding outside in my patio area. At first will have one pair, but in time my goal is to have 4 breeding pairs.
I read that they will need to be separated during the off season & will need to have 4meter long flights, but I also read here that others like to pair them as single pairs.
IF anyone has extra info on how big the cage would need to be for the individual pairs being housed outside, that would be helpful.
