AM I MAKING PROGRESS WITH MY 8WK OLD IRN????

had my baby IRN 5 days now, have been sitting him close to my chest and scrathing his head, when i take my hand away from being lightly over him, he sits there for ages and lets me pet him.. does this mean hes getting content with me or just scared?

Id say your little baby is content with just sitting there.
If yo can see him shaking or what then you'll know.
You're lucky to have such an affectionate IRN, my new IRN is like an ADHD child, won't sit still.
Sounds like your making strides.

he doesnt seem to be shaking while hes sitting there, he will grind his beak a bit .... i do have to scratch him a fair bit before he will willingly lay still but we get there
otherwise he will be jumping around the back of the couches trying to fly back to his cage.

thankyou !! i really hope he stays this way and bonds with me alot more .... ill be putting pics up soon
